Stop Negative Thinking
With The Help Of Hypnosis

It is widely recognized that cultivating a positive mindset and minimizing negative thoughts is beneficial. However, breaking free from this pattern can be extremely challenging. While critical thinking can be advantageous in evaluating potential risks in a plan, it is crucial to have the ability to control it. Otherwise, it can undermine your self-assurance, confidence, and ultimately impede your accomplishments.

Negative thoughts do not exclusively afflict certain individuals or situations - they are experienced by everyone at some point in life. While worrying can sometimes serve as motivation to take action and resolve a problem, it becomes problematic when consumed by "what ifs" and worst-case scenarios. Persistent doubts can be paralyzing, draining your emotional energy, intensifying anxiety levels, and disrupting your daily life.

If you constantly battle anxiety and worry, it is likely that you perceive the world in a manner that magnifies its dangers. For instance, you may overestimate the likelihood of unfavorable outcomes, immediately jump to worst-case scenarios, or treat every negative thought as absolute truth. Additionally, you may undermine your own ability to handle life's challenges, assuming that you will crumble at the first sign of trouble. These irrational and pessimistic attitudes are referred to as "cognitive distortions".

Although cognitive distortions are not grounded in reality, they can be difficult to let go of. Often, they become ingrained in our thinking patterns over time, to the point where we are not fully aware of them. To overcome these detrimental thinking habits and alleviate the accompanying worry and anxiety, it is necessary to reprogram our minds.

Therapeutic hypnosis is a method that helps train the brain to remain calm and let negative thoughts pass by. By strengthening the body and mind's relaxation response, it becomes a powerful technique for combating worries. Consider for a moment how different your life would be if you always approached situations with a positive mindset, instead of constantly expecting the worst outcome. Imagine seizing every opportunity within your grasp, rather than fixating on potential failures.

Do any of these cognitive distortions resonate with you and contribute to your anxiety?

All-or-nothing thinking – Looking at things in black-or-white categories, with no middle ground. “If I fall short of perfection, I’m a total failure.”

Overgeneralization – Generalizing from a single negative experience, expecting it to hold true forever. “I didn’t get hired for the job. I’ll never get any job.”

The mental filter – Focusing on the negatives while filtering out all the positives. Noticing the one thing that went wrong, rather than all the things that went right.

Diminishing the positive – Coming up with reasons why positive events don’t count. “I did well on the presentation, but that was just dumb luck.”

Jumping to conclusions – Making negative interpretations without actual evidence. You act like a mind reader, “I can tell she secretly hates me.”

Catastrophizing – Expecting the worst-case scenario to happen. “The pilot said we’re in for some turbulence. The plane’s going to crash!”

Emotional reasoning – Believing that the way you feel reflects reality. “I feel frightened right now. That must mean I’m in real physical danger.”

'Shoulds’ and ‘should-nots’ – Holding yourself to a strict list of what you should and shouldn’t do and beating yourself up if you break any of the rules

Personalization – Assuming responsibility for things that are outside your control. “It’s my fault my son got in an accident. I should have warned him to drive carefully in the rain.”
